Help valuing/selling Browning shotguns

Sure would appreciate some help.
Family economic issues force sale.
Need to know fair (but attractive) price.

Two shotguns....
First....Browning BT-99 32" Golden Clays.
I believe it was made in '94.
Really beautiful, virtually unused.
Second....Browning Special Skeet 28" Golden Clays, 12 GA.
I believe it was made in '97.
Really beautiful, virtually unused.

Also have 6 choke tubes and tool.

Also have two Browning "classic" hard cases.
First is for both guns....model 3115.
Second is for just the BT-99....model 1015.

Have owned these guns for years and never used them.
Pics can be provided....just let me know where to send them!
I have access to a local FFL for transfer.

ANY help on value as well as how to go about selling
would really be appreciated.

    hi dfwip and welcome, did you try the acution side of gunbroker? if you open up the shotgun category and enter a search for the guns previously described you will get some idea of their worth. after that the sky is your limit. list them on gunbroker, your local news paper, flea bay (i don't know if they do firearms or not), ksl.com, etc. you probably get the idea by now. good luck.

    Plus, if you go to the top of the Gunbroker home page, you will see a tab FOR SELLERS; follow that, & it will tell you everything you need to know to sell your guns on the auction site.

    You don't need to pay your dealer to ship them; you can do it yourself, but you have to read the law which is explained here.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
    Yup, tried the auction side, and just got more confused.
    Looked at everything that was even close to what I have.
    Numbers seem to be all over the place.
    Sure have no problem doing an auction, but I want to
    set a fair reserve (whatever the hell THAT might be).
    Any idea as to a fair reserve for the whole shot????

    Have pretty much decided to do the auction thing.
    STILL gotta price this stuff.
    What would you set reserve at?

    BT 99 you would be lucky to get $2000 out of it right now. For some reason the fancy ones don't move well when the price goes up. $1500 to $1800, you should get some nibbles.

    do a NO RESERVE auction.Many if not Most serious Buyers set up their search to only look at no reserve auction because 99% of reserve auction never meet some pie in the sky Reserve. They are AUTO relisted over and over for month if not years. Set a STARTING price you can live with . Look at seller Locust Fork she is a noted seller and she starts almost every auction very low but gets loads of bids.

    $2000 on the BT-99 would hurt, but if that's what
    it is worth, I will live with it. Guess I have a
    good idea where to set the starting price. Thanks!

    Looks like the "no reserve" auction is the route
    I will take. Still need some idea of value on the
    skeet gun....anyone care to jump in?

    I am in northern Ohio, and there is a gun show in the
    Cleveland area next weekend. Might drag everything
    there and see what happens....or would I be wasting
    my time?

    It's never a waste of time to go to a gun show. I'm sorry about the bt, I tried to sell a grade 5 awhile back and everyone wants to look, and told me it was a beautiful gun, but no one was buying. When you start getting into bigger money, everyone wants more of a shooter. I traded mine to miller's gun shop in sugercreek ohio for two guns. You can try that and get something that will sell easier.

    dfwip = See that you live in Ohio. How far are you from Findley, Ohio? Jaqua's in Findley sell many target shotguns. Stop by their shop or give them a call for a value. Or check their website.
