Savage 24, 22 Hornet over 12 gauge
Okay, I posted this question on the "Savage Mod 24" site to NO AVAIL.
So, here I go with you folks, where I should have gone in the first place, but.........duh...
Anyway, I have a "24" and the inside of the 12 ga. barrel looks as if it was reamed/bored/hollowed out with a rat-tail file. Maybe "like looking down a short piece of black iron gas pipe" would be a better discription.
My question is: Any of you Savage Mod 24 owners with a 12 gauge bbl have one that looks like I've discribed? Rough and not smooth?

Should be slick almost like Chrome. Make sure it is not lead from shooting Hand loaded slugs or damaged from shooting steel shot. Gunsmith may be able to polish the bore. 0
