Model 70-300 Win Magnum Value?
I was given a model 70-300 Win mag by my grandfather about 10 years ago, I don't hunt so i have never fired the rifle, i pretty much only shoot handguns. I have kept it clean and in a case all this time, but as of recently have decided to sale the gun. I am here asking for a general value of the firearm and what i should be asking. The Rifle's s/n is G1109452 its in excellent condition and has a Bushnell scope attached. I took it to a gun dealer in the area and he said it was pre-64 but when i look up the s/n# it says it was made in 1973.Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. You will find many helpful people and good advice here. I suggest you go to gunbroker.com auction and do a "smart search" of completed auctions for Model 70 Winchesters. Only bids or actual sale prices are of value. Bubba sometimes is greedy and puts an outlandish minimum bid that has no relationship to what the gun would sell for. 0 -
Serial numbers for pre 64 stopped at around 580,000. I would guess your gun would bring around $700 or so at auction today. good luck. 0
