Sharps Model 1C 22LR Serial #

I am looking a buying a Sharps Model 1C 22LR but my only question is that it has a letter in the serial #. I was just wondering what this means and if this effects the value of the gun? So the serial # looks something like this 319C and it matches. Any information that could be shared on the topic would be greatly appreciated.
