G.H. Ferriss shotgun
Hey everyone, I am at my in-laws home and found an old shutgun here. I can not seem to find any information on it. Please help. The only marking that I can see are on either side and say G.H. Ferriss Utica NY. It is a side by side double barrel shotgun. It has a double trigger and double hammer. Here are a few pics. Please let me know if you know anything about this gun or where I can find some info. Thanks. I appreciate your help

George H. Ferriss born ca 1820 in New York is listed as a gunsmith and gun maker in the 1850-1880 Utica censuses. He died in 1885:

FERRIS - In Utica, New York, December 13, 1885, GEORGE H. FERRIS, aged 65 years, 11 months and 5 days.
A google search indicates he made both percussion and breechloading guns.0 -

You posed the same question on another forum I believe. I transferred the photos and the subject has been thoroughly discussed absent the requested proof marks.
I sincerely doubt this gun was made by Ferriss. Sold by Ferriss? Yes, but not made by his hand. I'd bet Belgian.0
