Daewoo DR200
I've come across a Daewoo DR200 for sale by a guy I know and have personally never heard of it, I was wondering about how much is a reasonable cost for it. It comes with 6 mags 300rnds and a bag and the rifle is in mint condition. Any input would be great. Thanks. Semper Fi

I have my eye on a Daewoo DR200, surpose to be a tack driver at 100m, is this the weapon to buy or should I look at the Ar 15 Bushmaster?
Any input would be appreciated

It's the neutered version, (no bayonet lug/flashider), with thumbhole stock that Kimber imported and sold in the 90's. There descent quality guns, but parts might be hard to come buy as the haven't been sold in the States for years. If you can get it at a descent price go for it. The earlier K2 version with all the evil features are much more sought after by collectors. The prices on U.S. AR's have gone down a lot lately since the nobama panic has subsided. I wouldn't be paying big bucks for a neutered Korean import, unless I could get it at a really good price. 0 -
Check completed auctions on the auction side. One sold for $760 a couple weeks ago. 0 -

That hard to believe. I could see a K2 going for that, not a thumbhole 200.0 -
Current market for a Daewoo DR 200 is about 700-800, for a pre-89 rifle K2/MaxII/AR100 is about 1200-1400 depending on condition.
All in all, they really haven't moved much in the past 5 years. Occasionally, I'll make a really good deal for a 200 just to tear it down for parts, or if it's nice enough, to resell.
Parts are available, but they really don't break all that often...after all, they're NOT AR15s.
We currently manufacture or stock, firing pins, all manner of small parts, 90 degree selectors, extended gas plugs, oversized charging handles, optics rails and handguard rail sets, US made flash hiders and lots of spares from torn down and parted out rifles.
On the 200, if you want to remove the abomination thumbhole stock and replace it with a pistol grip, there are better options than just ACE-LTD who discontinued their nice pistol grip a while ago and now make some goofy piecacrap AR pistol grip adaptor block. You also need SEVEN US parts, which includes 3 major mag components.
SOME folks choose to swap out the h/t/s with an AR set but I've seen broken firing pins from this practice. I'd suggest other parts like flash hider, or gas piston instead.
