.375 Imp. vs. .375 RUM

These two cartridges seem to match in all respects except "Old World" or olden times (and rimmed case) vs. "New World" or new times (and non-rimmed case).

There aren't many, if any differences in their capabilities, are there?

  The one main difference there would be , is loaded ammunition is readily available for the RUM, while the IMPROVED you would have to load for.
