Keep the 66, unless you want to fire a bunch of full power 357,s.
I have a 66 2 1/2 like yours and it will never be for sale.

stick with the 66...you will not find another like it, for what you most likely paid for it. They have not made it in several years. It is a touch smaller than the 686, but will loosen up with a large diet of heavy magnums...that is why they made the 686 on the L frame. If you stick with 38's for range work, and a few 357's for practice, and sighting in, and carry, you will be good to go. I say keep the 66, and save up for a 686 if you really want one.

    Best

    EDIT:

I would get two holsters. If you can find a DeSantis triple agent holster, it is a shoulder holster, high ride side holster, and a cross draw holster all in one.

I would however not hesitate to grab a Bianchi, or Safari Land suede lined high ride hip holster for it. Galco makes a good product, and Alessi makes an OUTSTANDING product, but is consumed with military, and LEA contracts.

    Keep the 66.

It works far better as a snubnose, and its not in production anymore.

My 66 is the 2 1/2" version - has carbon steel hammer & trigger, which I very much like. I use a Bianchi pancake holster:

+1. The stubby 66 is going to do nothing but appreciate in value and if you sell it, trust me, you will regret it. I am partial to a Jackass shoulder holster with the stubby on one side and two speed loaders on the other...works great for me.[:)]
