416 Rigby
I am wanting a new 416 Rigby but can't decide between a Dakota or a Dumoulin. The Dakota has better resale some say but I like the lines of the Dumoulin. What do youall think?

Anyone out there with experience loading LIGHT loads in this caliber ?

I have a 416 (CZ 550) and haven't loaded anything really light. I am fiddling with a 338 Lapua Magnum and subsonic loads. Had some made by Hornady, pulled one and they use what looks like Trail Boss powder - 20.5 grains with a 300 grain Sierra Match King, fills a bit less than 1/2 the case. I haven't had a chance to go to the store and verify it is Trail Boss, but Trail Boss is distinctive looking (grey, donut shaped) and has the bulk required to fill a 338 LM case pretty well with a small charge. Since the 338 LM is more or less a necked down 416 Rigby perhaps that's the direction to take?
Again, I haven't verified this is Trail Boss and if I do I would use it for only 338 LM myself, just mentioning it and perhaps someone else with experience will be prompted to jump in.
I'd expect reduced charges with dacron filler are out there and may be easier to work up.0
