    learjet60,

Hello, and welcome to the forums here on Gunbroker.com!

You have picked a couple fine choices there. I will tell you I have not much experience with the X-Bolt, but a ton with the A-Bolt, and A-Bolt II. If the X-Bolt is anything like either of its predescessors, it is a great rifle. I have handles one, and like the bolt realease, and ergonomics of the X-bolt.

That said, I have had a lot of experience with the Tikka T-3's too. The trigger's are awesome out of the box, like they should be, and the rifles are ergonomically sound, and all I have seen have provided well under MOA accuracy.

You have a very tough decision. One, that no matter what you decide, you just can't make the wrong choice.

I have never shot a Tikka, but I did buy a XBolt last year.I got the SS duratuch in .308win.Having had several savages, reminton, winchester, sig, and a browing abolt this one is far better than all the others. How ever they all are fine rifle's and you should get the one that you like snd fit's you.

I own Both. I have a X-bolt in 270win and a T3 in 308win, as well as 3 ABolt II's in 30-06, 25 wssm and 223 wssm. All are excellent guns. You will be happy regardless of what you choose. For me If i could only keep one it would def. be my ABOLT II in 30-06. Its just what I prefer. Im not a huge fan of the removable magazine on the XBolt, although convenient, I think it makes the gun look cheap. All that said my T3 is what hits the woods most often, just because it was half the price of the others and I hunt it hard. It has a silky smooth action and is dead on accurate. In 308win im MOA with any factory ammo under 165g. My gun wont shoot the 180g stuff accurately. Like i said earlier you cant go wrong with either. Its really about cost. If the Browning is in your price range go with the Browning, its a better gun. If not, dont worry because you will love the T3. Happy Hunting!

Well, I went with the Browning XBolt Stalker (Synthetic stock, blue barrel) in .270 Win. I'm going to top it with Nikon's Buckmasters 3x9x40mm BDC scope using Brownings Integrated XBolt Scope Mount. The rifle was not in stock of course, so the wait begins. I'll report how she shoots when I receive the rifle and get the scope mounted and sighted in.

    Thanks for the input!
