I am selling a JC Higgins model 85 for a customer of mine. The SN is 5349cxx. When was is manufactured for Sears by a company in France? Is this specific firearm now C&R elegible?

  It's the Unique Model "D/2", can't find a specific DOM though. Mid 50's/60's time frame probably?
