Win. 1400 (Sears M300)..Permanent plug???
Instead of a removable plug (holds 2 rounds)it has three cuts, dimples to stop follower.
I remove the plug from every shotgun that I acquire, and have never seen this.
I am thinking I will drill them out and de-burr the inside.
Any advice/thoughts/experience?
Many tanks!

"I am thinking I will drill them out and de-burr the inside."..................YOU CAN NOT DO THIS, THE FRONT OF THE MAGAZINE TUBE HOLDS THE GAS SYSTEM PARTS, IT IS A PREMANENT 3 SHOT. 0 -
Yep, it is a 3 shot only. It is a very nice gun (I really like the placement of the safety on those guns) but a 3 shot it will remain. Think of it as a migratory bird gun that you won't EVER have to worry about getting in trouble for forgetting your plug... [:D] 0 -

MaxOHMS.....one of the first shotguns I purchased many moons ago was the Win 1400 three shot and loved it from the first day. Yes, no worry about a plug and the gun has been through many a duck and goose blind and has racked up a lot of both through the years. I, too, like the safety and just the weight (light) and balance of the gun. It was made for three and will stay for three so enjoy it for what it is[^]0
