K98 with Johnson Automatics barrel??

I saw a sporter for sale today that was built on a K98 Mauser action. Pretty common, but this one had a barrel marking on top that read, "JOHNSON AUTOMATICS 270 Caliber". What can anyone tell me about this rifle? Any information appreciated.

    Melvin Johnson, after WW II, had a business(s) in Massachusetts/Rhode Island? that specialized in custom gunsmithing, specifically the conversation of military rifles to sporters. I don't believe any military rifles were actually made after W W II, although the company still did business under the Johnson Automatics name.

    Thanks for the information. The rifle has a camo Bell and Carlson stock with built-in sling bars, nylon quick adjustable sling, Redfield one-piece base and rings, Redfield 2-7 scope, low-profile safety, target crown, and custom trigger that breaks clean at about 2 lbs. The shop wanted $285 OTD so of course I took it home this afternoon. I fired 2 factory rounds at my 80 yard range just to see if it was sighted in. Both hit a 1/2 inch bullseye and almost touched. Not too bad for a 60+ year old sporter. I especially like that it might have been made at the Johnson Automatics shop in the late 40's. I wish that it had the original stock and receiver sight but it isn't exactly a collectible rifle anyway and should make a great hunting rifle "as-is".Do any of you own a custom military sporter with a Johnson Automatics marked barrel? If so I'd like to hear about it or see a picture.
