MG 34 & Accessories Values
I have what seems to be a MG 34 and some accessories. The gun itself is not operable with apparent damage to the receiver area. In addition to the gun I have a barrel case which holds two barrels, extra barrel, ammo can and two drum magazines with the field carrier to hold them. I would like to sell these items and am trying to determine a fair value. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have to give you the standard Gun Broker disclaimer about the issues of having what appears to be a complete MG-34, even if the receiver "appears" to be demilitarized (DEMILed). If it is in fact one of the legitimate deactivated guns built up using original surplus aprts then it can range in price from $1500 to about $2000 depending on the markings and how nice looking it is.
You can do a search here on the Gun Broker auctions by typing in the words MG-34 and you should find plenty of accessories items listed which can give you an idea of the value of your own items.0 -
Understand fully, I wouldn't classify the MG 34 as complete as it is obviously missing parts and broken. Thanks for the reply. 0 -
Even broken and missing parts unless it it is truly demilled by ATF standards you would be in possession of an unregistered machinegun just for having the receiver. All other parts are just parts.
So you need to make sure what you have to avoid trouble.0 -
What the gents are trying to say politely, "broken" is not "torch cut into 3 pieces", which is the current BATFE protocol for destroying a receiver. The difference is 10 years, and a fine of not more than $250,000. 0 -
Ok. Now how about someone giving me an idea of value on the various items? 0
