Redfield scope dating

Anyone have any idea of the age of a Redfield frontier? scope 2x-7x, 1" tube with a serial #A134**?...and if so, do you know a decent value for this scope in good condition?

  My guess is 1970's, 40-50

  In his book Old Rifle Scopes, copyrighted 2000, Nick Stroebel says the Redfield Frontier 2-7X was made in 1973 and 1974. He gives a price range of $75 to $125. This was one of Redfield's cheaper scopes. The Redfield Widefield 2-7X from 1972-1976 is valued at $160 to $235.
