S&W model ?

Trying to identify a gun for a friend (don't have a picture).
S&W .38 special - 6" barrel - Model under the crane is: 29310
Serial number is: 4730X

Can someone advise a S&W site for me to check the S/N? Looks like it may be a .38 hand ejector M&P 2nd model, but I would like to confirm this.

  You have a 38 M&P model of 1902-1st change. Made in 1903-4. According to the serial number.
  The 29310 is a enginering number, not a model.
