Stoeger Cougar .45ACP ??

BassPro has the Stoeger Cougar on sale for $399. It comes with 2 mags and a hard case. Anybody have any experience with these? It has a 3.6" barrel and kinda reminds me of the old Astra pistols.

Any info much appreciated.

  New? That's a pretty fair price, I think. The Stoeger is essentially the same thing as a Beretta Couger - if I could et that deal here in CA I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

  Before you buy it find out which version it is. Either double action only, or conventional single action after first shot.
  
  The price is excellent though, Beretta quit making them and transferred the tooling to Turkey. Although the only ones that have been sold so far has been the 9's & 40's.
  
  It was one of the 45"s the LAPD adopted in the 90's, when Beretta was making them. The quality of the Turkish made pistols is supposed to be every bit as good as the ones made in Italy by Beretta.
