Recent forced match East Bloc import. Nothing that a collector would get excited about. The large billboard Century import markings really turns collectors off. Depending on bore condition it would be considered just a shooter to most collectors, unless you could find some guy who would want it for the "147" manufacturers code.

Thanks, do you think $200 is a decent start price or too high?

CS8161.....well it started out from the factory as a JPSauer in 1940 but now it is a beat up, mismatched, electopenciled Mauser, a bare shadow of what it once was. These are being imported from the old East European bloc with some called "Albanian Mausers" or somesuch labeling. Not worth much in this condition and if purchased should be carefully checked by a gunsmith before even thinking about shooting. If you get $150 or so for it, take it quick and run to the bank!
