hello; what's the best spotting scope on the market with 60 power for the money? aprox $200.oo thanks rick

  Reccomendations on a new spotting scope please. Around $1,000. I'm upgrading for an Oregon sheep hunt. THX HAWKSHAW

  I think I'd be looking at a Kowa TSN82 in that price range. Body and eyepiece will run just about $1K.. S40

  Hello south40---Can you tell me a little bit about Kowa from experience? I've never heard of them. Is the one you suggested the TSN82sv? Thats all I can find. Any info. appreciated.

  Kowa is excellent Japanese glass. Their spotters are frequently used by the benchrest crowd. I have an TSN82SV with a 20-40 eyepiece. It has bright clear optics and works well into the evening. Keep in mind that 82mm scopes are somewhat large, so if your looking for a hunting-only spotter, you might be better off with a 65mm scope. S40
