Kel-Tec PF-9
I'm looking at getting rid of my .380 and going to a 9mm for concealed carry. I'm looking for something small and light. Anyone had any experience with the Kel-Tec PF-9 ? Thanks.

I have both the PF9 and the P3A. The PF9 is a great CC with the belt clip, wear mine inside at small of back and it's very easy to C...very thin and forget you have it on. It shoots strait and I'm very happy with it. I find the P3 is better at pocket carry with shorts in the heat and no belt.
A scary story? just happened 3 days ago, I was in line at gas station wearing my scrub pants and a white tank top(I wear under scrub top,but keep folded until I get to work), had the PF9 on/in my back..figured maybe it was vizable, maybe not but, just going to take a min to get lotto tick. Low and behold 2 LEOs come into store and get in line behind me..Not a peep from them..they didn't see it.. or, ran my plates before they came in(doubt)0 -
I've shot it, and will make the following observations:
a. Sights are very good for a gun of its size.
b. DA-only trigger is reasonable. . .not too light or heavy.
c. It ran 100% with ball ammo.
d. Recoil is reasonably strong, as you might expect, but not painful or uncontrollable.
e. Gun is several hundred dollars less in cost than other 9mms of similar size.
f. Gun may be too large for pocket carry (though if you have really big pockets, maybe not).
I'd definitely consider one as a CCW, if I were looking for a small 9mm luger.
EDIT:
Oh, I'll make the following additional observations:
g. In my opinion, the PF-9 is a better CCW than the Kel-Tec P-11 having better sights, a better trigger, thinner and more comfortable in the hand. Yes, you do give up some capacity to the P-11, and you can't use S&W mags, but I think the advantages are worth it. 7+1 9mms ought to be PLENTY. (EG Smith model 39 or Walther P38 hold 8+1).
h. Supposedly this runs fine with hollowpoints, though I haven't personally tried it with any.
i. Overall size and weight of this thing are roughly comparable to an airweight Smith .38 snubnose. Probably the biggest reason I don't already have a PF-9 is just that I prefer the utter reliability and simplicity of a revolver.0 -

I normally carry a PF9 and I am very satisfied with it. I use a Fobus holster and the PF9 and Fobus are very easy to slip onto my belt and are very secure there. When I started considering a carry gun I decided that a 9mm would be the minumum I would consider. The PF9 is not a gun you want to spend a day at the range with but for a carry gun I find it a good choice. I use an Uncle Mike's instructors belt and it is by far the best belt I have found for carrying a gun. I would feel comfortable enough with this belt to carry my Super Blackhawk without any fear of slipping or wrong movement. 0 -

had a pf9 she can be a hand full but it is a good light gun , i will get another when another deal comes along, someone wanted mine more then i did 0 -
I have had one for a couple years and have been satisfied with it. If you have big hands watch the slide as it will take a chunk out of the top of your thumb [:D] 0
