jrmarket...we can tell you what you have but you need to post those photos and make them as close up and clear as you can. Go over each item carefully looking for those "...nazi markings." Check the dress bayonet to see if it has a number and if it does, does it match the sheath. What are the marker marks on both the holster and the matching frog? We can help you.

Don't know anything about the blades, other then a lot of fakes are floating around. Best to get a hands on by a pro to verify and price them.

The Astra sure looks richeous, Bring Back paper, holster and low serial number are definitely plus's as far as it's concerned. My WAG is that it would be in the $400 to $600 range the way things are now. Lots of people are hurting big time money wise nowadays, might be best to hold on to it till the economy turns around.

I have broadband and it still took me over a minute to open up the site.

jrmarket....like Joe, had a hard time loading the pics. Got the bayonets but after the first four pics, computer evidently gave out. At first blush, the bayonets looks like the real deal and you have id'ed them correctly. Notice some rust and condition is everything, particularly in this down market. Typically a dress bayo could bring up to $150 or so in your condition. Red Cross, more rare, add another $50/100 or so. Could not get the rest to show up. Can tell you that Astra 600's, while a bit rare (10,500 or so delivered to German forces) they are not the rarest (Astra 300 is more rare) but all were delivered to German forces in the south of France before the border was secure so your pistol was probably captured there. Again, sorry but this about all I can do. If I had your serial # I could tell you in what shipment your 600 was made and about when. Hope this helps.

Sorry the pics were tough to load...they are pretty big so you could enlarge them without losing the detail. If anyone wants some of the pics emailed and smaller I would be happy to send them.

    Gary,
the serial number is 2950 which I believe puts it in the early shipment during the war.

jrmarket.......what you have is one interesting gun...wish I could see the photos! My research indicates that it was THE LAST Astra 600 delivered on May 16, 1944 in the first of three deliveries. There were 3000 600's in the lot but the first 51 were sales samples so the last gun delivered on May 16, 1944 was....your gun! That alone would make it very interesting to a collector! Hope this helps!
