M1A: Stainless or Not?

Looking at the M1A loaded with wood stock. Is there any difference between the stainless barrel and the regular barrel to be considered in making my choice? The dealer has a stainless in stock.

  As a general rule, the ones with the SS barrels, are NM(National Match) ready to go. I do believe that the only ones to get the SS barrels are some of the NM's. But, not all NM's have SS barrels. Yes, if your dealer has one with the SS, NM barrel...grab it!

  I sure like my SS and dont think this gun would look right without it. Mine is a NM medium contour.
