Is there anyone in the Southwest Washington/Portland, Oregon area who could appraise a winchester 1894/94 rifle?

    Take closeup, clear pictures in natural light, make sure you get all of the stampings, the sights and all the imperfections. Post them on this sight, we have some of the most knowledgeable people in the business here, and they will be happy to help you.
    I live in Carson WA. 55 miles east of Vancouver, just off SR 14. I'll help you out if I can.

    You have everything you need in an appraisal right here. All we need is some very clear well lit pictures of all the markings, and overall condition of the rifle. I am sure Bert H., our resident Winchester expert will be of the most help to you.

    Hello Phil,

    The OAC (Oregon Arms Collector) Winchester show is held in August at the Holiday Inn (near the Portland airport). If you bring it to the show, I (and a number of other people) can give you very thorough appraisal of it. In the interim, please provide me with the serial number so that I can determine the exact vintage.

    Burt, The S/N is 80315,30 W.C.F., double set triggers. It belongs to an elderly lady who used it for many years on their ranch. I hope to get pictures later this week.

    Hello Phil,

    The serial number places the date of manufacture in early January of 1900.

    The set trigger is a relatively rare special order option, and it adds significantly to the collector value provided that it is factory original.
