Need Jap Rifle ID Help

Jigga
I have this Jap rifle that was a war bring back. It has a similar size as a Russian M44. I am not sure what model or type it is or the caliber. It has a side folding bayonet and Numbers seem to match on the gun. I need help identifying it. Any help is appreciated.

    Jigga........whoops! Wrong war. With the date 1951 it is most probably a ChiCom/NK "scrubbed" M44...could be a rare bird from the
    "Forgotten War" Korea, excuse me, "conflict." The Russians did not want any of us to think that they were involved in any way in the "conflict".

    The date appears to be 1955.1 to me. Could be the .1 denotes the month of Jan.?

    yes it does say 1955.1. I was thinking it was a bit rare as I could not find any pics or more info about it.

    The Chinese Type 53's aren't nearly as common as the Russian and East European Model 44's. This link is to a site on the net that has the best collectors information on the various Mosin-Nagant rifles, including your Chinese.
