chargemaster 1500
Morning folks.
My RCBS Chargemaster starting
going haywire yesterday, throwing
over-charges;funky display issues,
then stop working. The xfmr is working,
plenty of output but the unit won't even
turn on now.
Anyone ever see these problems?
The unit is about 2-3 yrs old.
Thank-Ron

Mine is 3 years old(I think). No problems yet, sorry to hear. Check on flourescent lights and I always have cell phone on other side of room. RCBS may help, give them a call. 0 -
Not to sound completely
ignorant but why fluorescent
lights?
This is the first
time I brought the chargemaster
out of the cellar and fired her up
next to 2 lamps-fluorescent- and
3 computers, 6 monitors.0 -
try it under all incandescent light and if it still does it after calibration, send it back for the NO BS warranty. I wired non-flourescent lights in my loading bench, but the room itself has flourescent lights, so I have no say in the idea of it messing up the scale. I use the PACT combo. 0 -
Justc-the unit won't even fire up.
I am gonna call RCBs today and whine
to them.

Sell the RCBS and buy a Lyman [;)]
Mine hasn't given me one problem [:p]0 -
mine went haywire a while back after a couple years of use. Sent it back to RCBS for repair for a flat fee to cover shipping etc. - $45 I think. They replaced the scale side of the unit. 0 -
RCBS will make it right. Was in on a surge protector? 0 -
No, JustC, let my guard down there, 0 -
I leave mine plugged in 24/7 on a surge protector. Even when the winter storm surged our power and blew my cell phone on the charger, the unit had no problems.
RCBS will make it right, they always do.[;)]0
