RWS ..Diana Model 48/52 .117 cal

RWS ..Diana Model 48/52 .117 cal .... Flea market find. It will not cock.. Any one have or know where to get a schematic? Not sure if it is complete. Thanks

    It could be a broken spring, or a jammed piston, which can easily happen with a powerhouse gun like that. Especially if using lighter than normal pellets like the raptors, or sabots, or dry firing it. If you are able to get it running, you got a very good rifle there. I have a 48, and use the Beeman heavy pointed pellet. It is the heaviest in its class, at 11.4 grains. What a shooter though.

    The company websight is UmarexUSA.com. Check there. I just acquired a RWS 350 Magnum Classic in .22, and a Walther Falcon in .25. Going to have some fun assaulting tin cans for a bit here........

    I might add that even of the gun is not cocked the main spring, which is powerful enough to probably lift a garage door, is still under pressure and if the rifle is cocked then the spring in under tremendous pressure. Use extreme caution if you are going to take the rifle apart.

    I have quite bit of experience repairing fire arms but these things are a mystery to me. I have it out of the stock and can observe through the holes in the bottom and see the large spring being compressed when I operate the cocking lever although I do not see any thing like a sear which would be caught be the trigger. then I have to hold the latch down and carefully let it the cocking lever down.
    I can appreciate the damage that spring could do if suddenly turned loose. In your experience what is the likely cause of this problem?

    There is no key to the parts in the instruction manual, only the exploded schematic. You have everything that I have.

    I think all RWS air guns have a lifetime warranty.Might try the manufacture.
