lc smith 20 ga.
I came into possesion of a LC Smith SS 20ga ( I think). I cannot find the LC Smith logo anywhere. The only marks are "FEATHERLIGHT"
on left side. Can this be an early model as it came from 2 genarations back. SN is 142495 (3 Places)

Doesn't sound like a Smith. Can you post pics? 0 -
Elcee had a "FW" frame... Featherweight. No Elcee was stamped as described and none spelled out the name. Thus you might expect a field gun to have the serial stamped FW12345.
Featherlight is entirely a different animal. Not L.C. Smith.0 -
There were a lot of inexpensive shotgun makers who copied the L.C. Smith, as it was a simple design, and it was favored by Elmer J. Fudd

Mr. Fudd used a double barrel 14 shot automatic Wabbit gun!....[:D] 0 -
Cartod,
I have it on good authority that Fudd was a tightwad--- he used disposable shotguns---like Win 21's or the highlight of Winchester's doublegun production--- the M24!0
