AR15 Lower Receivers for .50 Cal?
Was considering the 2 companies below for their lower receivers for a .50 Cal Rifle, the first one has some interesting designs, although the second one has a solid magwell which I want, however needs some machining and finishing to make it functional as well as the internal parts.
Has anyone dealt with either company, do they sell 'military' quality products, what is their customer service like?
Any other ideas for a AR15 lower receiver for a .50 Cal, I am still looking for an all steel AR15 lower receiver, but havent been able to locate any?
Thanks.

I dont think you should choose a standard stock that has an agressive pointy hard butt plate, such as an A2 or regular carbine stock.. There might be bloooood if you do..[:D]
DPMS has stainless lowers every now and then.. The R-guns receivers are decent.
I think you have the right reciever in mind, but if there is a ban you will probably have a better investment in a regular lower receiver...
EDIT
Shortage or not, the prices will sky rocket, in the case of a ban.. and if I understand things correctly the democrats are going to push all of the legislation they can between now and seating of the new congress.. I know that cap and trade is as unpopular as a ban, and they are gearing up to pass it next.. An AWB could very well be a part of that later.. Amnesty is next, after that a ban could be put before them..
It is not smart politics to scream from the roof tops the intentions to do unconstitutional things months before things are ready to be put into "law". That would allow people to mobilize and push back..
Republicans signed the last AWB, they will do so again. If one came up, it could pass. Collins, Snowe, Graham, and Brown would all sign onto it if need be..0 -

Two points:
a. No new national level gun bans are on the horizon. Even with their current large majority, the Dems simply don't have the votes to pull off something like that now. Nobody is expecting their Congressional majority to do anything but get smaller come November.
b. There are **SO** many serialized ordinary AR-15 receivers floating around now (let alone assembled complete guns) that there will be no shortage of these for quite a while, even if they were all banned. *SO* many people bought AR-15s and stockpiled receivers during the Obama panic last year, that there is actually a bit of a glut of them on the market right now.0 -
I am by no means a expert but I do own a ar-50. I built mine on a standard double star lower with a heavy hammer spring. I have shot 50 or so rounds through the gun and I have not had the first problem. The kick or push as I would describe it from a 50 is so much different from any other gun it does not put alot of stress on the lower( this is strictly my opinion) . My gun is just as tight today as the day I built it.. I hope this helps with your decision.. 0 -
Look at the Advanced Long range Systems (ALS). His uppers have actually set several world records. He also makes a great stock that is perfect for the 50BMG or any Varmint AR. I have shot many of them and use several of his stocks.

Prefer a mag-fed .50 cal rifle over the single shot although those rifles are nice, wish that they would add a magazine well capacity.
I also prefer a steel AR15 Lower Receiver over the normal aluminum but may have to settle.
Who could finish the machining and finishing on the AR15plus receiver although I would want to keep the solid magwell as is?0 -
You can do the final fit work with a dremel. just take your time and be sure to protect the surrounding surfaces. I am a Bohica dealer and they are working on a semi auto 50 that works on the ar platform. From what the owner has told me they will be side fed and use barrett magazines.. This may be more of what your looking for if you want to wait till this fall.. 0
