    The answer to your question is "no".

    There is no centralized list of serial numbers for every possible gun that its possible to link to, to determine its age.

    The way to do that is to first narrow things down to a manufacturer and specific model (EG Smith and Wesson model 60), **THEN** either contact the manufacturer or work with a published list to determine the age of the gun.

    Note that not every manufacturer is still in existence or will necessarily be able or willing to give you the information you are asking for.

    Seriously, for a lot of things you will nver find out when it was built, but Bert has given you a good resource to start with.
