50 yards is a teaching moment
45ACP in a Madore built 1911 "wadcutter gun".
Shooting 4.1 of N-310, all in the black, no pattern to the group
Shooting 4.4 of N-310, all in the black, five in the X-ring in one hole target scored a 100.
Shooting done off of a makeshift rest with one hand.
It goes to show that at 50 yards with a pistol small changes result in HUGE differences on paper. When a group goes from eight inches to 1.5 by changing powder by .3 grains, it gets your attention.
Also installed a Ultra Match dot on this 45, replacing the Tasco Pro Point. The Match Dot has four dot sizes to choose from. When I tried the bigger dot shooting improved. The dot almost covers the black at fifty yards, allowing your mind to focus on trigger control over the location of a tiny dot wandering around the black of the target.
I love shooting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, shooting is fun. Now, if you can repeat it you'll know it was not a fluke. If you can do it again with the same results, it will reinforce the results.
Yes, handguns are good out to longer distances than most give them credit for. I got this bunny at 80yds with my Glock 34.

Sometimes you're so hurtful[:0]...[8D] Read his screen name again[:D]
edit:
That ain't no "bunny" though. That is the most feared and hated crop eater in the whole Southwest. The black-eared Jack-rabbit (a hare actually). 'Been known oncet in a while to mate with the pronghorn antelope and cause "jackalopes" [}:)] see:

Lee..... I'll have to look it up. I haven't loaded 9mm in a while. I use 115gr FMJ factory ammo for hunting, competitive shooting and plinking. Mostly PMC and Winchester. 0 -
its the bullets fault, never the shooter.[:D] 0 -

with match milsurp ammo, the difference between TZZ and WINCHESTER 230 ball is 1 click on no wind days.
TZZ being hotter, i sight my gun in for TZZ at 50. but if i change ammmo, i click up one.
with TZZ, there is NO CLICK difference between 25 and 50yds.
with winchester, its 1 click up. thats it.
like perry says...praise be to the hardball gun.
now, with wind to my back, all ammo is 1 click up at 50 right off the bat. then we play from there.0
