Reloading problem
I have some brass that will not fit the shell holder. The extraction groove is about 8 thousands bigger in diameter than the ones that fit. The brass is new brass. Anyone make a tool that I can use to cut the extraction groove a little deeper? Or should I send it back to Fiocchi? Its about 20% of the brass so far that will not fit.

If you don't want to send it back to Fiocchi, use a course round needle file to deepen the groove. A course needle file will remove brass very quickly. 0 -

I'd say try another # shell holder or different brand. My 338 Lapua Magnum was driving me up the wall with the recommended one, Lapua brand brass worked one but not the other, Hornady and another brand worked fine. I just did a little mix & match until I came up with the right one - in addition to fitting the rim of course you need to ensure the primer hole is centered.0 -

i had problems in the past try to reload fiocchi brass for pistol G.L.F marked brass 0 -
s.a.m.m.i. doesn't have spec. for the extractor grove on any particular cartidge, you should either modify your shell holder or try a different brand shell holder. 0 -
I had a similiar problem recently with Remington 7 SAUM and Winchester .270 WSM brass (seemed like quite a coincidence!). Rumaged around in my shell holders and found that the one for 7.62x54R would work. It doesn't seem like a guy should have to do that, though--what else might be wrong?! 0
