Info on H&R Young American
I have a "blued" frame 22 long (or short?) YA. Serial number 4316XX. It appears to have never been shot. I would really appreciate knowing the approximate time period this was from and its value.

i can't give you an exact manufacture date as the factory records on this model no longer exist. it is a second model the high serial number suggest it is of late production most likely after 1930.

First Variation will have a round barrel & nickel trigger guard----1884-1887
Second Variation will have a octagon barrel & nickel trigger guard----1888-1897
Third Variation will have a octagon barrel , blue trigger guard and company name and address on left side of barrel --1897-1904
