Which Scope base for Centurion 98 Sporter?
I am trying to match up a Leupold one piece type base for a
Centurion 98 Sporter which came drilled and tapped. I tried a Mauser 98 but it is not a fit. It comes up a little short. Thanks

I should have added this rifle was built by Century Arms Co. 0 -
can you measure in thousandths the distance between the rear hole on the front of the action and the hole on the back of the action? i have several redfield one piece bases for various mausers, but dont know what fits centurion. 0 -
You may have had a custom base originally made for this or it was drilled and tapped for a two piece without any measuring to fit a standard one piece.
Do as Robert Smith says and measure the holes and see if he or someone has something like that. Or, you may just have to have a base drilled and tapped for you.0 -
Hello Robert.... Using a vernier caliper The holes measured from the front of the rear hole in the receiver to the front of the hole in the rear the distance is 4" .350" inches. Thanks 0
