Quality of Persian Mauser Finish
I bought a Persian Mauser and I'm not sure if the finish is original or not. It's as nice a finish as you'd find on a quality hunting rifle. Refinished or that's the way they were supplied to the Shah?

The Czech made long rifles had a pre W W II type commercial finish. On the other hand the Iranian made carbines were kind of rough.
Post quality photos for assessment by our members. Up until recently the long rifles were still available from that outfit in FL that sold a lot of surplus militaria.0 -
