Neck Sizing Question...

I've always full length sized my cases and I'm setting up some neck sizing dies. The instructions are not very clear. Do I set these up the same way as the full length dies (die screwed down to the shell holder and backed off 1/8-1/4 turn) or do you screw them down until they contact the shell holder...or what? Thanks!

    From the direction it would seem you adjust them both the same.

    adjust them until they size the neck almost all the way to the shoulder. That way you have a "false shoulder" to help get the case aligined in the chamber.

    Depends entirely on the brand as grumpyguy said. Lee neck collet dies for instance must touch the shell holder to actuate the collet. Other brands may or may not have to, most probably wouldn't except the Lees.
