Please define "work".
Will they fit and look cool? Most will.
Will they work reasonably well for the cost? Most will
Will they hold up as well to abuse? No
Would I trust them on anything but a range gun? NO0 -
Generally speaking the optics on these cheapies don't have the brightness and abuse taking ability of the real ones. The old adage is true you get what you pay for. The cheapies usually have 5 brightness settings the real ones have 10-11. 0 -

I was not saying "dont get them" I was just saying be aware of what they are before you buy. For some of my plinking/range guns I have inexpensive optics on them as the fill that role.
For example on on of my 10/22's I have a $36 holo red dot sight (I have 3 of these sights) that works well in all but the brightest light. It is accurate and reasonably durable. If I break it I am not in an "at risk" situation and I can buy 10 of these the price of one "real" one. I have a few guns with inexpensive sights on them for this reason.
On the other side I have an AR target rifle that has a $1000 (when I bought it about $1300 now) scope and that is not counting mounts and rings.
It just comes down to YOUR intended use.0
