There is a BAR in .308 for sale on the auction side. It has a Boss. Is this a + or a - ? Did Browning sell these with the boss already installed.

Browning designed the BOSS and sent guns from the factory with it.

Good or bad will be up to you.

Plusses are that it can increase accuracy (tune barrel vibes to your load) and decrease recoil.

Negatives are that it increases muzzle blast.

Add to the negative, its like a polychoke on an old A-5, it may work but it's not pretty.
