Dan Wesson Revolver Value
I have a Dan Wesson 357 revolver that my dad passed down to me and it was made in Monson, Mass. Does anyone know the current value of the revolver? Its serial number is 138xxx and the bluing is in very good shape. thank you.

Without pics anywhere from $100 to $400. One mans good shape is anothers poor shape if you get my meaning. There's a sticky how to post them on the front page of experts. If it's a Monson made gun it should have a model number. Some had interchangeable barrels. Some had fixed sights others adj and some had vent ribs and you didn't say which--so again pics would be very helpful. 0 -

I'd go with the "$100.00 to $400.00" but add my version of very good is no scratches or rust, some muzzle wear and wear on the front and rear sight with similar wear on the front cylinder edges. Rest of the bluing would have to be deep and even, no clouds and on a DW, no burgundy frame. And functionally perfect, a little wiggle in the cylinder at lock up is OK, no buggered (allen) screw heads. I'd say all that makes it an "about $350.00" gun, except in CA where it would be about $450.00 and with the caveat some folks are nuts for the DW and others can't be bothered.0 -

I bought one at a gun show last month for $350. I like how it is made and how it shoots. Keep it and enjoy. 0
