Rapid Fire RFG308 Schematics

Hello. I have a Rapid Fire RFG308 semi automatic 7.62 caliber rifle which needs some springs and such replaced within the reciever. What I need is a copy of the schematics for this weapon. Anyone know where I can obtain a copy? Ohio Rapid Fire was out of Troy, Ohio and is currently out of bussiness. Thanks for your assistance...

    Quality control on Ohio Rapid Fire receivers was highly variable. Among other things, they used to build American made receivers that other companies (eg Century Arms) could assemble into complete guns from parts kits. Then the quality of these secondary builds was (is) variable.

    The point is, your gun MIGHT have problems that can't be fixed just by swapping out a few springs (ie headspace issues, feed guide issues, etc).

    Anyway, it would help greatly if you could identify the TYPE of rifle you have.

    That's what I thought.

    You have what might be considered a "clone" of an Israeli .308 Galil SAR rifle.

    Without getting into too much detail here, your gun was undoubtedly built using the ORF receiver and surplus parts (either from Israel ir somewhere else, like Guatemala). Quality of these rifles is highly variable, depending on who assembled them and using what parts. The earlier ORF Galil receivers in particular were problematic, with some of them not being properly heat-treated.

    The Galil rifle is itself a clone of a Kalashnikov rifle, so if you're familiar with AK-type rifles, you should have a good basis to go with these.
