Romania Tokarev TTC
i have a Tokarev 7.62x25 serial# UV86 made in 1953, new condition with matching mag., will it be ok to use 7.63x25 that i use for my mauser bolo[?] i know my bolo will digest both kinds but will the TTC do the same.i tried dry cycleing, and the bullet at the muzzle gage thing,dry cycle works good, muzzle (bullet insert) looks the same on both caliber bullets.is there that much differnce too not do it[?] PS talk about hot ammo, this is it& yes it is #86 probably 1st month production! what year did they start making this model gun[?] 1953 or before that? i understand there are a few other makers,who makes the best one[?]

unless you just have a butt load of 7.63, i wouldnt shoot it up. the 7.62x25 is so cheap right now, i would stick with that. 0 -
Keep shooting 7,65 in your Broomhandle & you won't have to worry about it. That stuff is waaay too hot for a Broomhandle. The boltstop on mine crystallized using the proper 7,63 X 25.
Fortunately the pieces jambed the bolt so that I didn't wind up eating it but it was a very difficult jamb to clear.0 -

7,65 was a mistake. Should have been 7,62 X 25. 7,63 X 25 should be safe in the Tokarev but they might be too weak to function properly.
Like redman said they are also likely to be quite a bit more expensive.
To make matters worse there are some 7,62 rounds that were loaded even heavier for sub machine guns.0
