Is it leagal for me, a retired Deputy Sheriff, to
take my gun into the Commonwealth of Mass?
If so, please advise as my wife and I would like to
vist Boston and some other historical sites in the
fall, but also want to exercise our 2nd Amendment
Right to bear arms.

You maybe able to find some good info by using the search function. I do not know what standing being retired LE, in a state you do not reside in, may give you.
This site gives good info on reciprosity, but you should check each state you plan on travelling to.

Lookup the LEOSA for your state & get qualified to carry as a retired LEO. That should cover CCW about any where. Just be advised that magazine capacity & ammo type laws still apply. 0
