Rossi Combo Help

My Buddy Has a Rossi Combo
Muzzle Loader .270 12 Ga
Gets Misfires W the 12Ga & .270 Barrels Any Idea Why ?

The only idea I can think of is, it is a Rossi. I have heard a lot of bad stories, and witnesses some first hand...a 30-06 wouldn't even open all the way, for an acquaintance of mine.

Need more specific info on the "misfires". Is it light firing pin strikes or way off center strikes or what? I have a Rossi in 7.62x39 that has grossly excessive headspace and will only fire consistently with handloaded ammo custom made to counter the problem. It's going back for repairs when I get back home. Domestic ammo will fire about 1/3 of the time and foreign ammo less than 1/5. The primers show light strikes.
