Weaver K10 Target Scope Adjustments?

How can I adjust the cross hairs within a Weaver K10 Target Scope to appear a little more prominent in the foreground, ie to appear slightly heavier and not so thinly visible?
This one has the 3 screws near the 2 adjustment knobs center on the scope tube and is vintage from what I understand...

    Not possible. The thickness of the crosshair is built into the scope and not adjustable. The fine crosshair feature allows for better holding on small targets at long range. i have a vintage K-10 with that type crosshair and find it hard to use except for it's intended purpose.

    My K-8 is the same way. Those fine cross hairs can be a PIA.
    I lucked out with my K-10, it has a rare german post in it.

    Different types of k10, some have a sliding focus collar at the objective end, held in place with screws around the perimeter. This focus sleeve plus the focus adjustment at the eyepiece should give you a clear image of crosswires and target.

    So loosen the rings and the screws at the objective lens and slide it towards the ocular end of the scope slightly; as the ocular piece is as far forward(towards the objective lens as it can go)?

    First off does your k10 have a adjustable collar with slotted set screws around the perimeter on the objective lens?

    Ok you most likely have one of two types. K 10's are target scopes. They must be focused for each distance, the cross hairs are non centering. One style has the sliding focus ring with the set screws as previously described, the other a twist threaded focus objective. In both cases steady or bag down the scope/rifle and turn or slide the focus until the image is clear. Pay no attention to the reticle concentrate on Image focus. With the sliding model you may have to turn the objective ring out to allow full forward and rear slide movement. Now you are focused at one distance. Now loosed the eye piece locking ring and turn the eyepiece until the cross wires come into precise focus. Lock that ring in. Now pick out different distant objects,slide or turn objective to focus and in all cases near or far cross wires should be clear.
    Non centering reticle means you must do a good job of mounting the scope( with reticle centered) so as to be close to impact with scope center or you will need to adjust reticle so far from center that it will move the reticle too far to the image edge.
    K10 target scopes are "the scope" for mounting on mossberg chuckster 22mag, cause the long tube of the k10 target allows for generous amount of rear eye relief, and cucksters are designed with a long forward bolt that places the scope bases too far forward for normal hunting scope. K10's are also great for mounting on german drillings and combo guns again because of the long tube you can slide them make to make correct eye relief. All kinds of reticle could be ordered. I would not recommend a k10 for big game, varmints yes especially squirrels with 22mag cause you can focus real close up. Once you lock in the eye piece do not disturb it or you will need to re sight in the rifle because the reticle is non centering and will move as you turn the eye piece.
