Correct for Saddle Ring for Winchester 73, 92, 94?

Arthur Pirkle's states in his Books, Winchester Lever Action Repeating Firearms, that the outer diameter of the Saddle Ring for the Winchester 73, 92 & 94 are all 1 & 1/16 inches, and they are made from 11/64 inch wire. However, I have been told that Fred Goodwin (and his dad) who made the Saddle Rings for Winchester stated that the W73 & W92 outer diameter was only 1 inch. The few W92's SRC's I have all measure about 1 & 1/16 inches as well as my one W73 SRC Model 1, which slightly less than 1 & 1/16. (I've also got a collection of rings larger & smaller & out of smaller wire if anyone would like some free "authentic" rings. #9786; )

    Hello Texas Bear,

    The Model 1873, 1892, 1894, 1885, 1886, etc..., saddle rings are all the same size.

    The post 64 rings were made from 5/32 wire for the model 94s.
    1/64th of an inch may not sound like much but its easy to see the difference.

    EDIT:
    As Bert H stated all 94 rings have an outside diameter of 1 1/16.
    The inside dia.is obviously larger on the post 64s due to the smaller wire thickness.
