+p out of a Sig GSR 1911

Hey guys quick question, I haven't been able to tell me anything saying I shouldn't shoot +p out of it but when shooting Hornady Tap +p FPD it would shoot a round or 2 but then the next round going in would jam not allowing the slide to fully engage. One even jammed in the chamber, had to pull it back out with a key, this was before it even fired. Didn't have a micrometer but wish I would have. Any ideas one what could have caused this?

    Maby the recoil spring is too light for that load. That would make the slide move too fast.

    If the pistol will fire 230grain Ball ammo and not even chamber one of these rounds quote:ONE EVEN JAMMED IN THE CHAMBER HAD TO PULL IT BACK OUT WITH A KEY"Then your pistol is trying to send you a message. It does not like Hornady TAP+P FPD

    I can't explain this malfunction, but I do know that all SIG pistols are rated for SAAMI spec +P ammo.

    Yep! Don't use any more of that ammo. If I understand you right, it appears there are some inconsistencies with cartridge length.
