model 55 winch. ackley conversion

Picked up a Model 55 takedown yesterday. Is in non original condition. Chambered in 30 wcf. Considering reaming the chamber to 30-30 ackley improved. Given it is a take down is it simply a matter of just setting the reamer in the chamber and hand cutting to ackley chamber dimensions?

  yes that will work on a rimmed cart.
