Good perch fishing!
Dad, myself, a buddy and his 15 year old son nailed them Saturday... Lake Erie, off Kellys Island, 43 feet of water... 2 hours we got 106 (100 is the limit, we tossed the few small ones back)... ran out of bait. So 100 in the cooler. Biggest was 12 1/2", average size was running about 9".
I like catching and eating perch but I sure do get sick of cleaning them... the 15 year old doesn't know how so that was about 33 fish each. Even though we're all fairly proficient it took us an hour and a half. Yeah, I can do it quicker, but we like to make sure all the bones are out BEFORE freezing them for cooking.
Fresh fish for dinner though, mmm.

Catching is great. Cleaning fish not so fun. Eating well cleaned and prepped fish a true joy! 0 -
WOw that sounds like a great outing. Lake Erie has sure become quite a fishery. I fished Walleye and Smallmouth out of Westfield NY a few years ago and was amazed at the average size of the fish. DCSO's video is very interesting. Like to catch enough big ones to try it. 0
