Winchester Model 37 28ga

Does anyone out there know the no.#of 28 ga.manufactured with 30"barrel.I have read there were only 2518 total and most of these were 28".Thanks for any help BECCA

    There are no surviving production records for the Model 37. I am curious to know where you read about the (2518) number?

    George Madis unfortunately is not an accurate source of Winchester production information. For every single Winchester Model that I have researched, I have proven his published information to be in error... in some cases, grossly in error.

    Don't know where you got that Bert. I have some records on the M37.While I don't have alot, there are some that are still around.

    Don't know about records of how many were produced, but at the gun auction here in NC yesterday a 28ga w/28" barrel in excellent condition went for $2400.00.

    What I was trying to state, is that there are no "warehouse" ledger records like there are for the older models. Because the Model 37 was never serialized, there is no available means to identify individual guns, or how many of each variation were manufactured. The best that we can say is that more than 1-million of them were made were made over a 30-year span.
