Leupold Mark 4 Base for Mauser Action
Hello:
I have a 25-06 on a mauser action. I have the Mark 4 rings, and I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me what model # I need for ordering a MARK 4 BASE. I ordered the wrong rings for another gun, and have some old mounts I wanted to replace on the 25-06. There are currently a set of 40 year old 2 piece weaver mounts on it if that helps.

Hopefully the action is a normal configuration. EGW makes picatinny rails for many different actions.
I should of added that Leupold doesn't seem to make picatinny bases for mauser actions.0 -
Thanks. I thought so. The mounts I was taking off had a few shims under them. I appreciate the heads up. 0 -

hey had EXACTLY what I needed, and for a very good price as well. A Mark 4 Leo base is around 120, and this was a steal at 46 with shipping.
In case someone else is looking for picatinny rail for their 98 Mauser, go here.
I ordered a EGW Mauser 98 Large Ring Tactical Picatinny Scope Mount.[:D][:D]0 -

Did the base work out for you?
They are priced where they should be and seem to be decent quality. I have one of their bases.0 -

Hey There:
They actually will work out. Unfortunately, I will have to chop them due to the way the receiver was tapped in '69. With that being said, I will STILL have to use the shims. NOT happy about that, but they are much cleaner and sturdier mounts allowing me for a little more clearance of the bolt under the scope. For the price, I liked them a lot. Wish I had something to make my own.0 -
There are one piece aluminum Picatinny rails very cheap for many rifles on EBARF under scope mounts.
I think they are a low price line from Leopold.0 -

What I have purchased from them so far looks identical to the Leo stuff I have.0
