I met Perry Shooter today pics ADDED
He was kind enough to impart some sage wisdom to help me with timed and rapid fire shooting. The 45 loads I brought shot well enough slow fire, but the nut yanking the trigger timed fire was spraying lead all over the target.
He is a fine fellow with the patience of a great teacher. Looking at some of his firearm collection had me drooling all over his carpet. We have some photos and as soon as I can get home and load them on photobucket they will be posted.
I love competitive shooting and am excited about getting back into the swing of things. Looking at the air operated target turning machine at the range has me thinking a guy could build one with some pipe air hose and several days to tinker.

Hello I will invite any G.B. member to come visit . I an "slightly " over the hill in my Competitive shooting but still enjoy Coaching and love to talk. I am a member of a Rifle and pistol club that lets me run a pistol Bulls-Eye Program> I have a number of personal TOYS Ransom Rest. Professional Chronographs. and automated controls to operate a 24 point covered firing point range with turning targets. I only wish Bpost could have stayed longer and we could have shared a Brew or more . After 6 or more I might have been able to change his mine about loading with a Star Progressive Press. I live way out in the land of toothless hillbillies in Meigs county OH at the T-intersection of two dirt roads, on top of a hill. It was just over five hours to get to the range from my home. The range is in Charlottesville VA, just off of I-64.0 -
Karl has been a great help to me, 1911 values that are right on the money. Great guy to do business with, does what he says, when he said he's going to do it. A great guy to visit with on the phone. I only hope I can get back down in his neck of the woods again, and pay him a visit. A true gentleman.

and if you want to see a distinguished pistol shot squirm around and shoot a 149/0x...because he hasnt shot in 14 years....come watch me! i'll bring some of my 'low' standard 22's.[:D]0 -
